Freshbet Review: Its Own Terms Bar UK Players

Freshbet reviews aimed at British readers have a problem: Freshbet’s own terms and conditions say British residents are not allowed to register. Read on 21 August 2026, section 4 of those terms lists the United Kingdom among the countries it will not accept, and a London connection to freshbet.com is turned away at the door. A Manchester connection on 7 September 2026 got the same notice, “website is not available in your country for legal reasons”. Our score: 6 out of 10 for a UK audience.

What a UK visitor actually gets

A connection from London on 21 August 2026 does not reach a casino. freshbet.com redirects to freshbet.com/no-access, a page headed ACCESS RESTRICTED that reads “WEBSITE IS NOT AVAILABLE IN YOUR COUNTRY FOR LEGAL REASONS” and offers one route onward, an email to support@fresh-bet.com.

One honest caveat, because it matters. That connection ran through a VPN endpoint in London, and the block page itself suggests turning a VPN off if you believe your region is not restricted. On its own, a refusal to a VPN address would not prove the United Kingdom is blocked.

It does not have to prove it, because the operator’s own terms already say so in writing.

The clause that settles it

Section 4 of Freshbet’s terms and conditions, headed AVAILABILITY OF GAMES, reads:

“You are not allowed to register on the Website and use our services if you are a resident of Aruba, Australia, Bonaire, Curacao, France, Iran, Iraq, Netherlands, Saba, Spain, St Maarten, Statia, U.S.A or the U.S.A dependencies, United Kingdom.”

That is not ambiguous, and it is not a geo-detection quirk. It is the operator stating that a British resident may not hold an account.

There is a wrinkle worth recording. The same terms page carries a second, earlier restricted-country list, and that one does not mention the United Kingdom at all. It names Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Lithuania, Netherlands, Georgia, Saba, Russia, Belarus, St Maarten, the U.S.A and FATF blacklisted countries.

So the document contradicts itself. Only one of the two lists excludes Britain, and it is the more specific one. For a British reader the practical answer is the same either way: the site will not let you in.

The currency list says the same thing more quietly

Freshbet’s terms list the currencies it accepts: USD, EU, CA, AUD, EGP, BTC, ETH, LTC, BCH, XRP, DASH, XMR and USDT.

Sterling is not among them, despite the site’s own promotions advertising bonuses “up to 1,500 $/€/£”. A casino that markets a pound figure and cannot hold a pound balance is telling you who it is built for, and it is not you.

For comparison, Rolletto runs on a near-identical terms template, does not restrict the UK, and does list GBP.

Who is behind it

The footer on freshbet.com states that the site is operated by Ryker B.V., a company incorporated under the laws of Curaçao with company number 154186, licensed by the Curaçao Gaming Control Board under licence number OGL/2024/1800/1049.

Those details were read from the site’s own footer. Reaching them required a connection from outside the United Kingdom, for the reason set out above.

A Curaçao licence is not a British one. The Gambling Commission has no jurisdiction here, GAMSTOP does not reach it, and the British routes for disputes and self-exclusion do not apply.

What it advertises, for the record

The promotions page lists a casino welcome bonus of 100% up to 1,500, a sports welcome bonus of 100% up to 500, a crypto welcome bonus of 150% up to 500, a 10% loyalty bonus, football cashback up to 75% and a 3+1 free bet.

None of these are available to you if you live in Britain, so treat the numbers as context rather than an offer.

The verdict

Freshbet is a functioning Curaçao-licensed sportsbook and casino. It is simply not for a British audience, by its own instruction.

The reason this review exists is that a great deal of UK-facing content says otherwise, presenting Freshbet as an option for British players and quoting a pound-denominated welcome bonus. Anyone acting on that will hit an ACCESS RESTRICTED page, and anyone who finds a way around it is registering in breach of the operator’s terms, with no British protection and an account that could be closed on those grounds.
