AK Bets Sister Sites: It Left the Star Sports Licence

AK Bets has no sister sites. It is one brand on one domain, akbets.bet, and the company behind it holds nothing else. But the interesting part is where it used to be: until recently akbets.bet sat on the Star Sports licence in Hove, and the Gambling Commission’s register still carries it there as an Inactive domain.

So the honest answer to the sister-site question is that AK Bets used to have one, and left. Checked on 31 August 2026, here is the paperwork.

Two accounts, one brand

Searching the register for AK Bets returns two entries, which is the usual reason people assume there is a network. There is not. The two accounts split one business between them.

Those two addresses are the same place. The register lists the country on account 65961 as the United Kingdom, but D6W is a Dublin 6W Eircode and Terenure is in Dublin. It is a data entry slip in the register rather than a second office, and it is the sort of thing that makes a search look like it has found two companies when it has found one.

The site’s own footer settles which licence is doing what: “AKBO Limited (752964) 66030 is licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission. In Ireland, AK BETS operates under the AKBO Limited Licence 1022355.” One company, two jurisdictions, and the British permission is account 66030.

The Star Sports connection

Account 9177 belongs to Star Racing Limited, of Star House, 255 Old Shoreham Road, Hove. It runs Star Sports, and its domain list includes akbets.bet, marked Inactive.

A domain marked Inactive on one account and Active on another is the register recording a handover. AK Bets was offered under Star Racing’s British licence, and since March 2025 it has been offered under its own.

Star Racing’s Inactive list has two other names on it, ne-bet.com and mcbookie.com, so AK Bets is not the only brand to have left that licence. What remains Active there is Star Sports itself, on starsports.bet and starsportsbet.co.uk, plus a sister brand on a second account at the same Hove address. If you are looking for something that feels like AK Bets and is run by people it was once connected to, Star Sports is the honest answer, and it is a separate licensee rather than a skin of the same site.

Why the move matters to a customer

It changes who holds your money and who answers a complaint. Before, that was Star Racing Limited in Hove. Now it is Akbo Limited in Dublin, on account 66030.

The British protections do not change, because the new licence is a British one: GAMSTOP still applies, funds protection is still disclosed in the operator’s terms, and the complaints route still runs through the Commission’s approved adjudicator. What changes is the name on the paperwork, which matters if you are pursuing something that started before the handover.

Neither Akbo Limited nor AK Bets Limited has a regulatory action recorded on the register. Both accounts show every licence as Active.

Is there anything else in the group?

Not on the register. Between them, the two AK Bets accounts hold one domain, one trading name and no other brands. Compared with the operators that run dozens of near-identical casinos on a single permission, that is a small footprint, and it means an AK Bets account gets you one site rather than a network.
