BresBet Sister Sites: Licence Surrendered on 4 September

BresBet is not taking bets. Its homepage still carries the notice that licence 65252 was suspended with effect from 28 August 2026. The Commission’s public register has since moved on: all four of the company’s remote licences were surrendered on 4 September 2026.

So the sister-site question has changed shape. BresBet Ltd never ran a second brand, and it has no other domains to move to. The sites people mean when they search for BresBet sister sites are its former stablemates from a different company, and those are still trading. Here is the whole picture, rechecked on 6 September 2026.

What the licence surrender means for money in your account

Surrender means BresBet Ltd no longer holds these remote licences. The register gives 4 September 2026 as the end date for its bingo, casino, real-event betting and virtual-event betting permissions. It publishes no reason for the surrender, and the account still lists no regulatory action.

What that leaves a customer with is the operator’s own inbox. The older notice on the site names support@bresbet.com and nothing else, and there is no lobby to log into behind it.

Both domains behave the same way. bresbet.co.uk answers with a 503 and hands you to bresbet.com, which serves the notice. There is no cashier, no account page and no live chat.

If you had a balance, the practical steps are the ordinary ones: email that address, keep a copy of what you send, and keep any screenshots or statements showing the balance. Does BresBet have sister sites?

Not under BresBet Ltd. Account 65252 lists two domain names, and both of them are BresBet. There are no trading names on the account at all, which is the register’s way of saying this company ran one brand.

That is unusual enough to be worth stating plainly, because most of the operators we write about hold anywhere from three to a hundred domains on a single permission. BetWright is one of the few others with a single live site.

But BresBet did not start on this licence, and that is where the sister sites come from.

Where BresBet came from

Until late 2025, bresbet.com sat on a licence belonging to Playbook Gaming Limited, account 50122, alongside six other betting brands. On 10 November 2025 the Commission fined Playbook Gaming £250,000 and issued a warning. Nine days later the company surrendered all six of its licences.

The brands scattered. BresBet took out its own licence in February 2025, ahead of the collapse, and the others went their separate ways. Those are the sites a search for BresBet sister sites is really reaching for, so here is where each of them stands today.

These are not sister sites in the usual sense. They share a history rather than an owner, and each one now answers to a different company. The BresBet name that is still licensed

One more BresBet exists, and it is not affected by any of this.

Account 20804, held by Gary Wiltshire, carries the Active trading name “bresbet on course” alongside “fairway bookmakers”. It is a non-remote General Betting (Limited) licence, held continuously since 13 May 2009, and it covers betting at racecourses rather than online.

So the racecourse pitch and the website are two different permissions held by two different licensees. The online company was suspended on 28 August 2026 and surrendered its licences on 4 September. Someone searching the register for BresBet will find both, and they are easy to mix up.

What to do now

If you have money with BresBet, email the address on the notice and keep records. Do not go looking for a mirror domain or an alternative address claiming to be the same brand; there is no second BresBet site, and anything presenting itself as one is not run by the licensee.

If you were simply looking for somewhere to bet, DragonBet, Planet Sport Bet and Bet Vickers are all trading on their own Active licences, and each is covered by GAMSTOP and by British complaint routes.

The register now records the surrender as the final status of account 65252. We will recheck the page if the company or either domain changes hands.
