The £17 million settlement

In August 2022 the Commission announced that Entain, the group that owns LC International, would pay £17 million for social responsibility and anti-money laundering failures: £14 million for the online business on this licence, including ladbrokes.com, coral.co.uk and foxybingo.com, and £3 million for its betting shops. The Commission called it the largest enforcement outcome to date and noted it was the second time the operator had broken the rules. It added licence conditions requiring a board member to oversee an improvement plan and a third-party compliance audit (announcement). The register’s business page no longer lists it because of its age.

What one licence means here

Coral’s footer says it is operated by LC International Limited, licensed in Great Britain under account 54743. Ladbrokes, Gala and Foxy say the same. So:

  • One company answers for your money at Ladbrokes, Coral, Gala and Foxy, and one complaints route applies.
  • GAMSTOP blocks them all, as it does every Gambling Commission licensee.
  • Accounts stay separate. A Coral account does not log you in at Gala, and limits set at one brand do not carry to the next.

Our Coral sister sites and Ladbrokes sister sites pages go through the brands in detail, and the PayPal bingo guide covers Gala and Foxy’s PayPal rules.

How to check a LC International site yourself

  1. Scroll to the footer. A site on this licence says it is operated by LC International Limited under account number 54743.
  2. Search 54743 on the Gambling Commission public register and open the domain names tab.
  3. Find the site’s address. Active or White Label means it is live on the licence; Inactive means it no longer trades there.
