Casino Cruise review: closed in 2022, domain now dead

Casino Cruise is closed and, unlike some of its former sister sites, the domain is dead too. The brand was one of the 14 Genesis Global Limited sites that iGB reported shut on 6 December 2022. On 7 September 2026 casinocruise.com did not resolve at all: no DNS answer from a UK connection, and none from a second server we tried either. The Gambling Commission register has no entry left for Genesis. Our score: 5.5 out of 10.

For a UK player that is the cleanest outcome a closed casino can have. There is nothing to play and nothing pretending to be Casino Cruise. The only open question is old balances, which we cover at the end.

We tried the domain from a UK connection and from a second server. Neither got a DNS answer, which means the name does not point anywhere, so there is no page to screenshot. The last copy Wayback holds is from May 2022 and it is an empty page, so the archive does not even preserve the final version of the casino.

A dead domain is good news in one narrow sense. Vegas Hero and Spinit, two of Casino Cruise’s former sister brands, now have their domains serving block pages for an unrelated offshore group. Casino Cruise has avoided that. There is no site to confuse with the original and no support address from a new owner to mislead you. If a Casino Cruise ever reappears at that address or any other, treat it as a stranger until the register says otherwise.

We would add one caveat. A domain that does not resolve today can be bought and pointed somewhere tomorrow, and an old casino name is exactly the kind of domain an offshore operator likes to pick up, as vegashero.com and spinit.com show. We will keep checking it, and this review will say so if that changes.

Named in the £3.8 million fine

Casino Cruise has a specific place in the Genesis story, because the Gambling Commission’s press release of 27 January 2022 names it. The release describes Genesis Global Limited as a company “which runs 14 websites including genesiscasino.com, casinoplanet.com and casinocruise.com”, and announces a £3.8 million fine, a formal warning and an extra audit condition on the licence, for social responsibility and anti money laundering failures. The Commission had already suspended the licence in July 2020 and lifted the suspension on 14 October 2020.

The examples in the release are the part worth reading. One customer was allowed to spend £245,000 in three months while the company knew they were an NHS nurse earning £30,000 a year. Another lost £197,000 over six months. Those failures happened under the licence Casino Cruise traded on, and the brand is named in the same document.

The closure and the register

iGB reported on 6 December 2022 that Genesis closed all 14 British sites that day, Casino Cruise among them, with withdrawals left open until 30 December 2022. The full list was Casino Planet, Casoola, Kassu, Casino Cruise, Casino Gods, Casino Joy, Casino Lab, Casino Masters, Genesis Casino, Pelaa, Sloty, Spela, Spinit and Vegas Hero. Ariel Reem, chief executive since 2014, had already left. Genesis filed for insolvency in Malta in December 2022, and the Malta Gaming Authority cancelled its licence in January 2024.

Genesis Global closed all of its UK brands on the same day, 6 December 2022, and each domain went a different way. We have checked the other three: Vegas Hero, whose domain now belongs to an unrelated offshore operator that blocks UK visitors, Sloty, whose domain has become a slots news blog and Spinit, which now blocks UK visitors under a different owner.

What to do if you had a Casino Cruise account

The official withdrawal window closed on 30 December 2022, and the company that owed you the money filed for insolvency in Malta that same month. We do not have a working Genesis support address to give you and we will not print one we could not verify. With the domain gone there is no site to log into and no contact form to try.

If you self excluded through GAMSTOP while Casino Cruise was live, check that the exclusion is still in force. It applies to every British licensee, and this closure does not change your own status.

If you are looking for a licensed replacement, choose one that is on the register today. Check the account number in the site footer against the register entry before you deposit, and if the two do not match, walk away. That habit takes a minute, and it is the one thing that separates a licensed site from a copy trading on an old name.
