Vickers Bet Sister Sites: The Licence Changed Hands in a Day

Bet Vickers has no sister sites. J R & S Leisure Ltd holds account 66877 and runs one brand on two domains. What makes it worth a page is how it got there: the licence it replaced was surrendered on 21 July 2025, and the new one starts on 21 July 2025. The same day.

Vickers has also appeared on a third company’s licence along the way, which is why searching for it turns up more results than there are betting sites. Checked on 31 August 2026 and again on 7 September 2026, here is the sequence.

Three accounts, one betting brand

Search the register for Vickers and you get three hits. Only one of them is trading.

Account 2203 was held by a named individual, Johan Vickers, at 6 The Square, Middleton St George, Darlington. It carried a non-remote betting licence dating back to 1 January 2009 and a remote one from December 2017, plus the trading name “Vickers Racing”.

Both of those licences were surrendered on 21 July 2025. J R & S Leisure Ltd’s betting licences begin on 21 July 2025, and its registered address is 1 Temple Buildings, Middleton St George, Darlington, a few streets from the old one.

A same-day handover between two licensees in the same village is a business being reorganised, not a brand being sold on. The remaining activities followed a few weeks later: casino, bingo and virtual betting were added to the new account on 13 August 2025.

The Playbook Gaming detour

The third account is the one that confuses searches. Playbook Gaming Limited, account 50122, listed vickers.bet among its domains.

Playbook was fined £250,000 by the Commission on 10 November 2025 and surrendered all six of its licences nine days later. We covered the collapse and where each of its brands ended up in Playbook Gaming casinos.

vickers.bet survived it. Loaded today, that address forwards to betvickers.com, which is the J R & S Leisure site. So the old Playbook domain now points at the current licensee’s sportsbook, which is the tidiest possible outcome for anyone who had the link bookmarked.

It also means Vickers is the only former Playbook brand to have run under three different licensed companies. The others moved once, or stopped.

One domain that does not resolve

A small thing worth recording. The register lists betvickers.co.uk as Active on account 66877, but that domain has no DNS record, so it does not load at all. betvickers.com is the working address, and vickers.bet forwards to it.

That is a housekeeping gap rather than a warning sign: registers commonly lag the technical reality, and an operator listing a domain it is not using is the harmless direction for that error to run. It does mean a count of domains overstates the number of sites here, as it usually does.

So what are the sister sites?

There are none on the licence. Account 66877 lists two trading names, “bet vickers” and “vickers racing”, which are two names for the same operation, and two domains for one site.

If what you are actually after is a site run by people Vickers was once connected to, the honest list is its former Playbook stablemates rather than anything in its own group: DragonBet on account 64908 and Planet Sport Bet on account 65109 are both trading on their own Active licences. BresBet, the fourth survivor, is not: its licence was suspended with effect from 28 August 2026 and all four of its remote licences were surrendered on 4 September, which we cover in BresBet sister sites.
