Spinit Casino review: closed to the UK since December 2022

Spinit is closed to UK players. Its British licence was surrendered on 6 December 2022, according to Fruity Slots, the same day iGB reported that Genesis Global Limited had shut all 14 of its UK sites. The domain still resolves, but on 7 September 2026 spinit.com served a UK visitor a 403 “Access restricted” page, on the same template that vegashero.com and casinia.com use. The Gambling Commission register has no entry left for Genesis. Our score: 5 out of 10.

The short advice is that there is nothing to play here from the UK and the current spinit.com belongs to someone else. What is left to do about an old account is at the end.

The block page reads “403 Forbidden Access restricted The project is not available for your country for legal reasons”, with support@spinit.com offered as a contact. The page flags the visitor’s region as GB, so the block is specifically for British connections rather than a site that is simply offline.

That template is identical to the one on vegashero.com and casinia.com. Genesis is insolvent and lost its Malta licence in January 2024, so it is not the company serving this page. The domain now belongs to the offshore group behind Casinia, and the support address on the page reaches them, not Genesis.

For a UK player the point is that the Spinit name now sits on a different business. We do not know what that business serves to visitors outside the UK, and we did not try to find out, because none of it is licensed here. Our sister sites guide covers how to work out who is really behind a domain.

If you reach this page from an old bookmark or an affiliate link, close it. A site that tells British visitors the “project” is unavailable for legal reasons is telling you, in its own words, that it has no licence to serve you. Anything that manages to get past that block, through a VPN or otherwise, is not covered by British rules and is not Spinit in any sense that matters.

The register entry

Genesis Global Limited held Gambling Commission account 45235, and Spinit ran under it. Open that account today and the register returns “No register entry found”. Fruity Slots records the licence as surrendered on 6 December 2022, which matches. Nobody holds a British licence for Spinit. The Genesis Global story

Spinit launched in 2016, according to Fruity Slots, and spent its whole life under Genesis Global Limited. The Gambling Commission suspended that licence in July 2020 and lifted the suspension on 14 October 2020. On 27 January 2022 it fined Genesis £3.8 million, with a formal warning and an extra audit condition, for social responsibility and anti money laundering failures.

The press release gives two examples. One customer was allowed to spend £245,000 in three months while the company knew they were an NHS nurse earning £30,000 a year. Another lost £197,000 over six months. That is the record Spinit was trading on in its final year, and it is worth remembering when you weigh up any casino that shares a licence with a fined operator.

iGB reported on 6 December 2022 that Genesis closed all 14 of its British sites that day: Casino Planet, Casoola, Kassu, Casino Cruise, Casino Gods, Casino Joy, Casino Lab, Casino Masters, Genesis Casino, Pelaa, Sloty, Spela, Spinit and Vegas Hero. Withdrawals stayed open until 30 December 2022. Ariel Reem, chief executive since 2014, had already left. Genesis filed for insolvency in Malta in December 2022. Fruity Slots records a Malta Gaming Authority suspension on 16 January 2023, and the MGA cancelled the licence outright in January 2024.

Genesis Global closed all of its UK brands on the same day, 6 December 2022, and each domain went a different way. We have checked the other three: Vegas Hero, whose domain now belongs to an unrelated offshore operator that blocks UK visitors, Sloty, whose domain has become a slots news blog and Casino Cruise, whose domain no longer resolves.

What to do if you had a Spinit account

The official withdrawal window closed on 30 December 2022, and the company that owed you the money filed for insolvency in Malta that same month. We do not have a working Genesis support address and we will not print one we could not verify.

Do not email support@spinit.com about an old balance. That address belongs to the domain’s new owner. They did not hold your account, and nothing on the block page suggests they have any interest in Genesis customers.
