The 2025 penalty
On 26 June 2025 the Commission said an investigation had found Grace Media breached two social responsibility code provisions: one on self-exclusion, and one on consent for direct electronic marketing. It imposed a financial penalty of £60,000. The Commission accepted that the company had policies in place, that the failure came from human error in applying them, and that it co-operated and took remedial action.

A welcome offer to read twice
Since 19 January 2026, Commission rules have capped bonus wagering at 10 times the bonus. Chelsea Palace’s welcome bonus page, read on 29 September 2026, still says the spin winnings are paid as bonus funds with a wagering requirement of 30x, and cash conversion capped at 4x the bonus. The main offer on its homepage, “Deposit £10, get £20 slot bonus”, states 40x wagering with a £50 maximum conversion.
