Sloty Casino review: closed in 2022, domain now a blog

Sloty is closed. It was one of the 14 Genesis Global Limited sites that iGB reported shut on 6 December 2022, and on 7 September 2026 there is no casino at sloty.com at all. The address now serves a WordPress blog about slots, with no sign up and no games. The Gambling Commission register has no entry left for Genesis. Our score: 5.5 out of 10.

For a UK player that means two things. There is nothing to play, and there is nothing at the old address to be tricked by either, which is more than we can say for some of Sloty’s former sister brands. What is left to do about an old account is at the end.

Load sloty.com today and you get a WordPress site titled “Sloty.com – Get All the Latest News on Online Slots, Tips and Tricks”. It runs articles such as “What Does RTP Mean in Slots?”, carries a copyright line reading “2024 Sloty.com. All rights reserved.” and has no sign up and no games. It is an affiliate style content site, not a casino.

Wayback’s copies show how it got there: 503 errors in January 2024, then the blog from May 2024. The casino went dark, the domain sat broken for a while, and then a content site appeared on it. Whether whoever runs the blog has any connection to Genesis we could not verify, and it does not much matter, because the blog is not taking your money.

There is one caution. A blog on a former casino domain can link out to casinos, and any casino it sends you to has nothing to do with the licensed Sloty. Check the register before you follow any such link; our UKGC licensing guide shows how.

It is also worth saying what the blog is not. It is not a relaunch and it does not ask for a deposit. If you arrive expecting the casino that used to be at this address, the plain answer is that it no longer exists anywhere.

The register entry

Genesis Global Limited held Gambling Commission account 45235 and Sloty ran under it. Open that account on the register today and you get “No register entry found”. Nobody holds a British licence for Sloty, and there is no longer a site to hold one for.

How Genesis Global got here

Sloty’s licence problems started well before the closure. The Gambling Commission suspended Genesis Global Limited in July 2020 and lifted the suspension on 14 October 2020. On 27 January 2022 it fined the company £3.8 million, with a formal warning and an extra audit condition on the licence, for social responsibility and anti money laundering failures.

The press release spells out what those failures looked like. One customer was allowed to spend £245,000 in three months while the company knew they were an NHS nurse earning £30,000 a year. Another lost £197,000 over six months. Reading those two lines, we find it hard to see a company that was going to be around for long.

It lasted less than a year after the fine. iGB reported on 6 December 2022 that Genesis closed all 14 of its British sites that day, Sloty among them, with withdrawals left open until 30 December 2022. That is just over three weeks, over Christmas, for customers of 14 sites to get their money out. Ariel Reem, chief executive since 2014, had already gone. Genesis filed for insolvency in Malta in December 2022 and the Malta Gaming Authority cancelled its licence in January 2024. Genesis Global closed all of its UK brands on the same day, 6 December 2022, and each domain went a different way. We have checked the other three: Vegas Hero, whose domain now belongs to an unrelated offshore operator that blocks UK visitors, Spinit, which now blocks UK visitors under a different owner and Casino Cruise, whose domain no longer resolves.

What to do if you had a Sloty account

The announced withdrawal window closed on 30 December 2022 and Genesis filed for insolvency in Malta that same month. We could not verify a working support route for old balances and we will not invent one. Do not contact the current sloty.com blog about it; whoever runs that site is not the company that held your account.

If you self excluded through GAMSTOP while Sloty was live, check that the exclusion is still in force. One site closing changes nothing about your own status, and the exclusion still applies to every British licensee.
